Overview

The SuperTrend EA (internal name: ForexTrend Professional EA v1.60) is a trend-following robot that analyzes 9 timeframes simultaneously and only opens a trade when at least 5 timeframes are aligned. Stop Loss and Take Profit are calculated dynamically from the ATR (market volatility).

How It Works (from the real source code)

Step 1 — 9-timeframe analysis: the robot calculates SuperTrend on M1–MN1 (ATR period 35, multiplier 16).
Step 2 — Direction per timeframe: price above the upper band → bullish; below the lower band → bearish.
Step 3 — Overall signal: at least 5 bullish timeframes → BUY; at least 5 bearish → SELL; otherwise OFF (no trade).
Step 4 — Entry filters: max allowed ATR (1410 pips), max spread (14 pips), trading hours and max 1 trade per bar.
Step 5 — Entry & risk: BUY at Ask with SL Ask − (1.7 × ATR) and TP Ask + (2.3 × ATR).
Step 6 — Lot size: base 0.01 lot + 0.01 increment for every $1000 of balance.

Installation & Setup

  1. Copy the .ex5 file into MQL5\Experts.
  2. In MT5: right-click the Navigator → Refresh.
  3. Drag the EA onto a XAUUSD H1 chart.
  4. Activation: enter the code for real accounts (not required on demo/backtest).
  5. Enable AutoTrading and Allow Algorithmic Trading.
